This does sound a lot like Paul, right? It’s a cover of “Carrying”, which was originally made for a dear friend (Valerie), who loved Paul’s music and loved being my friend.

I haven’t seen her in nearly four years, but I know she’s out there somewhere and I bet she pulls this file from time to time, perhaps while driving through Vancouver traffic, on the way to the Momento Cafe’.  I hope she’ll come find me again one day and invite me to “come out and play”, like she used to. It hurts to know I may never see her again.  If  that is the case, at least I have this song and the memories it bears.

…  and by the way; the purple guitar pick on the floor is hers. Been there (in the same spot) for nearly five years.
